Born in Lancashire in 1975, Paul was surrounded by horses from a young age and always harbored a passion for becoming a farrier. At the age of 16, he enlisted in the army and became a part of The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, where he dedicated 12 years of service. During his time there, he participated in prestigious events like Trooping the Colour and The State Opening Of Parliament, as well as daily Queen's guards at Horse Guards Parade. In 1995, he embarked on his farriery journey at the regiment's forge and successfully became a qualified farrier in 1999. Transitioning out of the army in 2003, he established his own farriery practice, which he continues to operate. With two degrees in farriery science under his belt and holding the Associate of the Worship Company of Farriers title, he now imparts his knowledge as a lecturer/tutor at a UK farriery school twice a week. Moreover, he is a respected clinician who has shared his expertise through lectures and workshops on an international scale.
